From Herts RFU Referee Society:
With the new rugby season underway, we once again want to offer Players, Coaches and Supporters the opportunity to learn the basics of refereeing.
The course that we offer runs for 3 hours from 6.30PM to 9.30PM and would be presented by Phil Russell who is a qualified RFU Educator and a National League referee.
There will be no charge to the Club or the participants.
The aim of the 3 hour course is to introduce the participants to the basics of refereeing (decision making, signalling, positioning etc) and to give them the confidence to take up the whistle at their clubs on a Sunday morning.
For those who want to continue In a coaching or playing role rather than refereeing, it gives them a better insight into how the game is refereed and how the players can get the best out of a referee.
